SMILE Too

SMILE Too

Funding frame: Erasmus+ KA201
Project coordinator: Center Iris

The SMILE too project is a follow up to the SMILE project in the Erasmus+ School Education Personnel Mobility Program (KA1). SMILE stands for: “Social skills Make Inclusive Life Easier”. Social skills are key competences that have a major influence on behaviour and self-confidence and acceptance in society.

In this project we work to increase the understanding of the importance of social skills among all stakeholders. Also we develop an innovative training programme with a toolkit for teachers and parents to improve the social skills and autonomy of visually impaired and blind children in primary and secondary education. The result that we want to achieve is that young people with a visual impairment can participate in society autonomously and self-consciously, even though they often lack non-verbal signals.
